The Lion and the Mouse, the story of Bermuda and America.

Narrated by Michael Douglas, The Lion and the Mouse: The Story of America and Bermuda, is a story about the history of Bermuda and how it is intertwined with the history of the United States and of it’s survival in a competitive world. From Bermuda’s first settlers who were shipwrecked there on the way to Jamestown, the early settlement and life, Bermuda’s role in the American Revolution, the War of 1812 and Civil War and the island’s strategic position in World War II, plus its economic adaptation during the latter part of the 20th century. This is an in-depth look at the complex relationship between the two territories and how important a role a seemingly insignificant island can play in the world.

Produced and Directed by Lucinda Spurling.
